The Oroville Association of REALTORS® offers the following levels of membership:
Designated REALTOR®, REALTOR®, Broker, Appraiser, MLS Assistant, MLS Only, and Affiliate.
NEW MEMBER Q&A
Q: What are the qualifications to join the Oroville Association of REALTORS®?
A: 2.1 REALTOR® members, whether primary or secondary, who are principals, partners, corporate officers or branch office managers of real estate firms shall:
(a) Maintain a current, valid California real estate broker or salesperson license or California real estate appraisal certification or license; and
(b) Act as a sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer of a real estate firm or office manager of a real estate firm acting on behalf of the firm’s principal(s); and
(c) Remain actively engaged in the real estate profession;
(d) Maintain or be associated with a real estate office located within the state of California or a state contiguous thereto; and
(e) Have no record of official sanctions rendered by the courts or other lawful authorities for (i) violations of civil rights laws or real estate license laws within the past three years or (ii) criminal convictions within the past ten years where the crime was punishable by death or imprisonment in excess of one year under the law under which the applicant was convicted (ten years is measured from the date of the conviction or the release of the applicant from the confinement imposed for that conviction, whichever is the later date).
SALESPERSON:
Your Broker must be a member of the Oroville Association to be eligible to join and your Broker must be reflected under the DRE records online.

BROKERS:
If you hold a broker's license, you are eligible to join under your own license.
APPRAISERS:
Must provide the Association with a copy of your Appraisers Certification.

Q: Do I need to fill out an application to join the Oroville Association of REALTORS®?

Q: Once I fill out the application, what do I need to do?
A: After completing the application in detail, if you are a Salesperson, have your Designated REALTOR® (Broker) sign your application (See page 5 of the application), and your Broker of Record must be reflected under the DRE records online.

Q: Are there any additional requirements that must be met to complete and finalize my membership
A: Yes, once you have applied for membership and paid your membership dues, you will receive information on the New Member Orientation Class. The orientation must be completed in the first 90 days of membership.
We also require all new members to complete the New Member Code of Ethics online course in the first 90 days.
How to become a part
of the largest MLS in the nation
Join our Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS)
Thank you for being so interested in joining our MLS. The Oroville Association of REALTORS® is a member of the California Regional Multiple Listing Service (CRMLS), the largest MLS in the nation.
Applications received on Friday will be processed on the next business day, applications received after 2 p.m. M-F will be processed on the next business day
Areas covered by CRMLS in Northern California included Butte County, and Lake County, as well as reciprocal agreements with Sutter Yuba and Nevada counties. See the full list of areas covered by our MLS.
To begin the process of joining our MLS please contact the Oroville Association of REALTORS® office at 530-533-9112 for a breakdown of fees. If you are seeking CRMLS membership from outside our immediate area our staff and help determine your membership options. Your Broker must be active on the MLS for you to join. Many times, with a diligent search, we will find that your Broker is already on the MLS making the way clear for you to obtain access.
All applicants must submit a completed application with the signature of your Broker or authorized office manager. In order to expedite your application please provide a copy of your DRE License, a copy of your California Driver’s License or State ID. Once payment is received and the application processed you will have access to the MLS. Service generally starts within 24 hours after processing your application. Once your application has been processed you will receive an email welcoming you to the MLS; the email will include your USER ID and temporary password.
